[Spca50x-devs] PAC207 giving error "Sensor currently not support light frequency banding filters"

Hi there,

I have an SPCA camera. It has USB IDs of 093a:2468, listed by lsusb as
a "Pixart Imaging, Inc. Easy Snap Snake Eye WebCam". According to this
page it is supported:

  http://mxhaard.free.fr/spca5xx.html

It has worked with previous versions of the spca5xx driver (version
20060501 I believe). The latest version of the gspca driver, 20071214,
doesn't seem to work, however. When inserting the camera, the following
is reported by the kernel:

/usr/src/gspcav1-20071214/gspca_core.c: gspca driver 01.00.20-rc2 registered
/usr/src/gspcav1-20071214/gspca_core.c: USB GSPCA camera found. (PAC207)
/usr/src/gspcav1-20071214/gspca_core.c: [spca5xx_probe:4254] Camera type GBRG
/usr/src/gspcav1-20071214/gspca_core.c: [spca5xx_getcapability:1238] maxw 352 maxh 288 minw 160 minh 120

however, when trying to use the video device with spcagui (version
20060127), the following is reported by the kernel:

/usr/src/gspcav1-20071214/gspca_core.c: [spca5xx_set_light_freq:1919] Sensor currently not support light frequency banding filters.
/usr/src/gspcav1-20071214/gspca_core.c: [gspca_set_isoc_ep:935] ISO EndPoint found 0x85 AlternateSet 8
/usr/src/gspcav1-20071214/gspca_core.c: init isoc: usb_submit_urb(0) ret -38
/usr/src/gspcav1-20071214/gspca_core.c: [spca5xx_open:1983] DEALLOC error on init_Isoc

With the programming outputting this:

rah@orchid /usr/src/spcagui20060127 $ ./spcagui
SpcaGui version: 0.3.5 date: 18 September 2005
video device /dev/video0
ERROR opening V4L interface
: Function not implemented

This appears to be a regression in the driver. I'm wondering if a)
people aware of it, and b) is it/will it be fixed?

Regards,

Bob
