Re: [Samba] vfs objects recycle can not exclude profile directory

Rowland, I knew. but I want to make a recycle for all the sections except for profiles and recycle itself. so if I set up like what you suggested, there's a lot of duplicate config in a lot of sections.

Have you tried it like this:

[global]
.........
vfs objects = acl_xattr full_audit recycle
.......

[users]
        path = /srv/samba/users/
        read only = no
        recycle:repository = /srv/samba/recycle/%U
        recycle:touch = Yes
        recycle:keeptree = Yes
        recycle:versions = Yes
        recycle:noversions = *.tmp,*.temp,*.o,*.obj,*.TMP,*.TEMP
        recycle:exclude = *.tmp,*.temp,*.o,*.obj,*.TMP,*.TEMP *~$*
        recycle:exclude_dir = recycle,tmp,temp,TMP,TEMP,profiles,%U.V2

[profiles]
        path = /srv/samba/profiles/
        read only = no
[recycle]
        path = /srv/samba/recycle/
        read only = no

would be ignored on 'profiles' and 'recycle'
