[Samba] Unregister from WINS before going to suspend mode?

I use the following to put a Linux host into suspend mode:
echo -n freeze > /sys/power/state
Problem is, "c:\>net view" shows that the computer is still shown as live,
so I guess the Samba installed on that Linux host doesn't unregister before
going to sleep.
Is there a better way?
FWIW, this computer supports "freeze", "disk", and "standby".
