what would be wrong?
pretty vanilla classic domain config, a snippet:
workgroup = us_lan
server string = DC@US
netbios name = DC
;netbios name = OLDDC
domain master = yes
domain logons = yes
logon script = %m.bat
logon path =
logon home =
local master = yes
os level = 39
preferred master = yes
;dns proxy = yes
wins support = yes
Win 7 (after reboot) still shows: LOGONSERVER=\\OLDDC and
does not execute(get?) logon script.
Unfortunately I cannot do without nmb.
Is it not allowed to change netbios name after a domain
was established? no...
missed to mention, Samba ver. 4.4.4
