Just to be sure, is that first sentence supposed to be reading "node-2" and not "node-1"? The datafiles should not be in use anywhere, on any node, or disaster will be your share.
Additionally, what is your shared filesystem? Is it possible that there is still a lock on the datafiles at that level after the crash on node-1?
