There are folk that continue to challenge us to filter them and
should be looked at as an opportunity to sharpen our filtering
Ok, I give up. Where do I find the filter log? Clicked on Tools,
Filters, Filter Log and all I got was a message to check the box
(it was) to enable the log. I can't find any log file anywhere.
Well, if you did not have logging enabled then you won't find the
filterlog.html file in your profile.
That's just it; it was checked already when I looked. I just ran a
"find" on my C drive for news.mozilla.org and filterlog.html. Neither
The news.mozilla.org folder, should in the News folder of your profile
folder. The filterlog.html file is the first file in my folder.
In my profile, in the News folder I have three subfolders;
news.albasani.net, news.mozilla.com and news.mozilla-3.com. In the
news.mozilla.com folder are two files; mozilla.general.msf and
mozilla.support.firefox.msf. That's all. Nothing about filters at all.
The -3 folder has a bunch of very old .dat, .msf & .htm files; nothing
current. The filters I have set appear to be working, and are set to
keep a log. I just can't seem to find it anywhere.
A modern Thunderbird would probably help.
I'm sure you're right about that! But I've been using this suite for so
long, it's like an old friend.
I like making new friends. It's why I use the latest Firefox Nightly and
will return to using Thunderbird Daily, when they get Lightning working
with it again.
Right now I'm using TB 60.0b6.
