Re: Changes at AMO and uBlock Origin

My bloviated meandering follows what Caver1 graced us with on 2/17/2018 12:16 PM:
More complications from Mozilla.
uBlock Origin Development Add-on for Firefox

https://www.ghacks.net/2018/02/16/ublock-origin-development-add-on-for-firefox/ "Active uBlock Origin Beta users on Firefox may wonder why the development build version was released as a new add-on and not on the beta channel of the primary uBlock Origin add-on listing."

There are pro/con comments at that link that provide more nuance to the situation. The biggest problem I see is that AMO doesn't seem to have a Beta channel nor critical Bug Fix channel for addons. I can see why they don't want to foist not-ready features on to production Fx systems but they should have a mechanism for critical bug fixes.
