In a legal/fiduciary sense, the judge was correct.  A company's first
duty is to its owners (shareholders).

But considering a corporation to be a legal person IS insane.

True.  Same could be said of unions.  Calling it a wash levels the field a bit.


In Ontario, a union is a corporation. It can own property, pay rent, borrow money, etc. It can't issue shares, though. Don't know about the other Provinces.
