Perhaps the worst thing about Trump is that
his arrival has made many liberals as batty as
seething right-wingers. Can't you spam in a
political group where people want to discuss it?

Nah, I like to make sure Ron is still around.

You know the old saying that if both side don't like you, you are
something right? Well Trump must be doing something right, because
parties, AND the media, don't like him, and for ONE SIMPLE REASON.
He owes THEM nothing. He isn't under they control. And when he has
something say, he takes it directly to the people through social
Now let's see if he has the staying power to actually get the job
It's a BIG swamp that needs to drained, and the gators ain't gonna
like it!

I thought the swamp referred to the politicians, lobbyists, and such.
Not the civil servants, which he is getting rid of.

If they are part of the problem, then they need to be gotten out also.
It is clear that someone is leaking information to the news media, and
that person, or persons, needs to be identified, and removed from the

Admittedly, I'm looking at this from afar, but "Why??". If what that
person/s is releasing to the media is correct, why should "that person,
or persons, needs to be identified, and removed from the scene"??

Unless, of course, your "system" is going to provide that leaker/s with
all the protection/security that they deserve!

So, you think it is OK to give information to people who aren't
authorized to have it, potentially doing damage to the national
security, in the worst case, in violation of oaths, and rules, and
conditions of employment?

Yes, Ron! Sure, there are "Whistle Blowers" that are idiots that are just seeking publicity, but I think the greater number of "Whistle Blowers" are doing what they do for the greater good!

Even in The Armed Services, you are supposed to consider the orders you are given, to decide if they are "legal" orders

What about the My Lai Massacre in Vietnam ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Lai_Massacre ). Was that all okie dokie because they were just following orders??

Partial quote from My Lai page .... "Initially, three U.S. servicemen who had tried to halt the massacre and rescue the hiding civilians were shunned, and even denounced as traitors by several U.S. Congressmen"

Should these three servicemen have just followed orders?? Or were they, effectively, pre-emptive whistle blowers because they tried to halt the massacre??

If you hold information that shows/proves that Your Government is carrying out illegal/unlawful actions, you should be bound to dob on your government.

IMHO, of course!

That depends on if your guys are in power, or the ones you don't like are in power. 😉
