Yes, I'm seeing that response.

I should have said I'm using KDE, so I guess gdm stanzas are inappropriate.
Anyway, I'm seeing:
$ cat /etc/X11/default-display-manager
/usr/bin/sddm

Should I dpkg-reconfigure that?
