or just prefix var name with "_":

		[ -d ${autoloaddir} ] || autoloaddir=
-		local dbg_contents_var=${PN//[-+\.]/_}_debuginfo_CONTENTS;
+		local dbg_contents_var=_${PN//[-+\.]/_}_debuginfo_CONTENTS;
